Where and when were you born?

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Marital status?

What is your profession?
IT Professional - database

Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training?
I was inspired by Rachel McLeish back in the 80’s when I saw a poster of her in a gym. I started training back then just to get fit but found it very frustrating, the sport was still in its infancy in Australia and not very accepted. Trained off and on over the years but not
very seriously. Entered a few small comps but gave it away for quiet some years.

Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body?
When I finally made the commitment to training as a bodybuilder I set a goal of competing within 18months. Have trained off and on for the past 10 years and have just returned to serious training in the last 9 months after a 12-18 month break.

Can you give me your competition history?
Victorian state 1st place 2 years running
Victorian state 2nd place - twice
Southern States 1st place
4th place Nationals

Please tell me something about your training routine (ie: how many days per week / training split /cardio, etc.)
Currently train 4 days per week
Mon Chest / biceps. Also quads – squats only light high reps
Tues Shoulders / Triceps
Wed Back / Hamstrings
Thurs Quads Heavy / Calves
I also jog 4-5 k 3 times a week – cardio to keep control of my bodyfat

What is your favourite exercise in the gym and which one you don’t like so much?
Love training chest!! Dumbbell bench press. Have a love hate relationship with squats. Love the thought of doing heavy squats, Hate doing them, Love the feeling after a heavy leg session.

Which body part is your best in your opinion?

The best thing is feeling great, looking great, getting pumped and being noticed. I love that people look at my muscles!

Tell me something interesting about yourself, something people may be surprised to hear.
I am bit of a coffee connoisseur and drink a lot of coffee (latte’s) during the day.
Going to learn to swim this year – have a fear of water that I WILL conquer!
