Surprisingly enough I had virtually no athletic background. I began working out with weights when I was a senior in high school (1990). I decided to compete in my first contest in October of 1993 after my 21st birthday. I think I placed 4th out of five in the womens light weight . I weighed in at 112lbs! I did not compete again until 1999. I knew that if I was going to be competitive in this sport that my physique had to change drastically. I went on to compete in the Jr. USA in April of 2001 and won the overall title. Then competed in the USA in Las Vegas in 2001 and 2002 and placed 7th and 11th respectively. My final competition was Nationals in Miami November 2003 where I placed 10th.

LORI EMORY… WHERE IS SHE NOW?
I am taking some time off … from competition that is. Still training hard 6 days a week . I am giving myself some time to begin to enjoy life although I continue to see an average of 18 clients each day . I went to Italy after the Nationals and hope to return because I fell in love with Rome! I am just going to enjoy being single and meeting new people for now.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone who has been so wonderful to me over the past year. Friends are the best gift in life. You can never have enough!
