Born in the midwest. 

Never played any sports or did anything athletic. Growing up I was the typical 80s teen, smoked and drank. I continued to drink heavily and smoke well into my adulthood.

At the age of 30 I found Crossfit. I was lucky enough to have an amazing coach that had been an athlete for over 20 years, with a history of Powerlifting and Bodybuilding.Having never thought of myself as a competitive person, I quickly discovered how much I liked competing and the challenge.

 After a lot of teasing from my tattoo artist I decided to check out Powerlifting. For about a year I competed in both. After my second Powerlifting meet I had a coach tell me I could be mediocre at both or really good at one. I stopped Crossfit the next day. I continued to compete in Powerlifting for about 4 years. I did hold a few world records for my weight and age class. 

In 2019 I decided I wanted to focus on body composition as this was something I struggled with my entire life. After a few months, I went to a friends first Bodybuilding show and knew I wanted to try it. So I signed up for my first show.

In April 2019 I competed at my first show, I placed 3rd, I went on to compete at Orlando Europa and placed 5th. In August of 2019 I competed again and placed 3rd. Obviously 2020 wasnt a good year for competing so I did a minor prep with a new coach to learn my body and have plans to compete in June of 2021.

Im not competitive for the desire of turning pro. Im competitive for the sake of being better and I have fallen in love with my body and how it responds to prep.
