Where and when were you born?1960, Memphis Tenn
What is your profession? Personal Fitness Trainer
Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training? I played softball at ages 10 & 11, but after that I never really played sports, I was just very active! I started weight training at age 25 to get in shape and fell in love with the power of it and competed in less than a year in my first bodybuilding show!!
Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body? It was very quick that I decided i wanted to get on stage and compete. I liked the way I looked and felt, and wanted to take it to the next level.
Can you give me your competition history? Its very long!! It started in 1985 and I did over 25 shows before I became IFBB Pro last year.I have done AAu shows, NPC shows, and I was even a WNBF Pro for several yrs. I have won over 15 overall titles and I did the Nationals in 1992 and the Jr. nationals as well, placing in the top 10 at both shows. I did the Team Universe 2 yrs. and won the overall last year and got my Pro card there and went to Spain to compete at the Worlds!! I just did my first IFBB Pro show in Texas and took 7th and now I will finish off this year with the Bulk Nutrition show in NC.
Which contest has been your biggest success; which has had the most meaning to you? The Team Universe 2004, winning overall against Colette Nelson and getting my pro card!! Colette has become a very dear friend since then:)

It depends on where I am at in my season. Off-season I do 4 to 5 days of light cardio and on season 6 days od cardio and sometimes 2 times a day!

What do you enjoy most about the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle? The way I look and the way other people respond to me, we seem to get a certain respect because we have the disapline most people lack. I like helping others get into shape throught working out and eating right. My husband & I love going to contests where everyone is into fitness!!
Tell me something interesting about yourself, something people may be surprised to hear. I am a VERY sensitive, caring person. I love helping others, but I dont think that will suprise anyone! My husband is a cop...so I have to watch myself a lot!! LOL!
What are your competition goals or personal future goals? I want to continue to compete as long as this old body of mine holds out and continue to help others reach their fitness goals as well! My husband & I are retiring to Florida in 5 yrs and I just want to live a healthy, fun life as long as we can. To always be active & stay in the fitness industry forever.... is our goal!!
