Where and when were you born? June 25th 1976 in Michigan What is your profession? Personal Trainer, Webcam performer Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training? I competed in track and gymnastics. I starting weight training while living in California. I got hooked. I love to weight train. Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body? It was a goal for me from the beginning. I have always been very competitive in sports and in life. Can you give me your competition history? This will be short, lol. I have competed once. I did the Michigan, which for us here in the state is the big show. I won the heavyweight class. Which contest has been your biggest success; which has had the most meaning to you? Guess, lol. Seriously it was great to win my first show. Please tell me something about your training routine (ie: how many days per week / training split /cardio, etc.) Usually 4-5 times per week weight training. I don't have specific days, I go by how I am feeling. I have overtrained many times so I go by what my body is telling me and how sore I am. Split is usually like this but I do mix it up about every 6 weeks or so. Day One Back, Biceps, Calves Day Two Chest, Triceps, Forearms Day Three Legs, Calves Day Four Shoulders In between days I do abs and also throw forearms in there quite a bit. I usually do cardio first thing in the am, emphasis on ususally :). I am picking up the cardio now though. What is your favorite exercise in the gym and which one you don’t like so much? It varies but I have always loved to train legs. Leg press is a favorite because I can go quite heavy and still keep my form. Which body part is your best in your opinion? My heart. If you don’t mind would you give me some stats (best lifts and some body measurements)? I am 5'4, currently 196lbs. 45 inch chest, 17 inch biceps, 28 inch quads, 17 inch calves. My best lifts are getting even better so I guess I will have to repost :). What do you enjoy about training for competition....what do you enjoy about the 'off season'? I actually enjoy the dieting. People confuse diet with hunger but getting ready for a show I am not hungry because I am eating all the time. What I am is thirsty! I also enjoy the changes in my body, it motivates me and I get to see what I have been working so hard on in the gym. Off season. I enjoy the strength and I have to say I love to get over the 200# mark, even though bodybuilding has nothing to do with the scale, it is how I come in on stage. Truth be told, I also LOVE to eat! I can put it in gear for pre contest diet with no problem but I am an eating machine in the offseason :). As for the downside of the offseason, I keep ripping my jeans and am running out of clothes, lol. Please describe a typical day in the life of Jennifer Kennedy. In the morning I take care of my animals and take a few minutes to meditate and pray. Drink coffee, read emails and then cardio. Eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, lol. Train clients and usually workout around 5pm. I usually relax when I get home for a little bit and then work online. Please tell me about what you do when you don’t work out (hobbies, what do you do to relax?, etc.) I'm a card shark. I LOVE to play cards but I am a bad loser as well as a bad winner so I am running out of opponents :), I love to relax, reading, watching movies, spending time with friends and family. I am a very low key kind of person. I like calm, peace, and serenity. What do you enjoy most about the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle? I love the strength. I love to lift heavy. I love to grow and watch my body change. Tell me something interesting about yourself, something people may be surprised to hear. Hmmm. Well I think that a lot of people assume that all fbbs are dominating, ass kicking, ball busting women. For me, I am just a marshmallow covered in muscle. What are your competition goals or personal future goals? I plan on competing next year and getting my pro card in the near future as well. Living life one day at a time. |
