Early on, I tried my hand at ballet, gymnastics and basketball. My first introduction to the weight room wasn't until my freshman year in college. I would experiment on the equipment at my university’s Rec Center, but I honestly had no idea what I was doing. It wasn't until my sophomore year that I was really introduced to weight training. I wanted to know more about it, and the more I was in the gym, the more I became hooked! I started taking elective classes in Exercise Science, such as weight training, nutrition, and anatomy. Soon after, I began taking boxing and kickboxing classes at a local karate studio. I received my certifications in personal training and group exercise instruction. After I graduated from Bloomsburg University, I became employed in corporate fitness, where I have been for nearly 7 years. In 2003, I made the decision to start seriously training for my first figure show. I have always loved strength training and cardio, but I needed to get my diet in check. In October 2004, I finally took the big step onto the competition stage and competed in my first figure show—the INBF Keystone State Supernatural. I placed third, and couldn’t have been happier with myself for finally accomplishing my goal! Though I had taken time off from competition, I have still remained very active in the bodybuilding community. The following year I began judging for the Organization of Competitive Bodybuilders (OCB) and began training other girls for figure competition. I absolutely love helping others reach their fitness dreams. Whether it’s training for a show, weight loss, or strength gains—I love every aspect of it! I am pleased to have launched my own personal website (www.lovethefitlife.com) in November! I hope to reach out to many more people through my website. I offer extensive personal training services and nutrition options, as well as many healthy eating tips, and workout routines. I also offer contest prep packages, and competition coaching. In addition, I recently teamed up with Realgainz Fitness Magazine. I am very excited to be interviewing and writing for this fabulous fitness magazine! Ultimately, I would love to obtain my IFBB Pro Card in Figure and compete at the pro level. My dream is to one day grace the covers of the same fitness magazines that my idols are on! I would also love to further my personal training business and inform as many people as I can about the benefits of exercise and good nutrition. I really strive to be my personal best in my sport and in my career. Health and fitness is not just a job, but a way of life for me!
