Where and when were you born?
I was born in Jacksonville Florida and raised in south Georgia.
What is your profession?
By profession I went to nursing school but I am also a bartender.
Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training?
Growing up I never played sports, but I always gravitated towards the weight room for my physical activity in school.
Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body?
I’ve always wanted to compete especially after I saw Lenda Murray in the muscle magazines as I was growing up.
Can you give me your competition history?
I have done some figure competitions but realized with my muscular frame it wouldnt work, I now compete in Womens Physique which I love because it allows me to lift heavy but not get to big and still maintain my female physique.
Which contest has been your biggest success; which has had the most meaning to you? When I competed at the Nationals in Miami I realized I really had to bring my A game when competing....no half assing around so in 2013 my goal is to get my pro card and to enventually step on the stage at the Olympia for Womens Physique....I will be one happy camper.....
Please tell me something about your training routine (ie: how many days per week / training split /cardio, etc.)
During the season or getting ready for a show I hit the gym 6 days a week for......I also do cardio when I get up in the morning meaning I wake up and head outside for a run.
What is your favorite exercise in the gym and which one you don’t like so much?
My favorite excercise I would say is to do legs....eventhough my knees are not what they used to be, but legs nonetheless....we have a love hate relationship.
Which body part is your best in your opinion?
I would defitnately say my legs....I have 17 inch calves (naturally I might add) when I wear dresses or shorts its always interesting to see the people gawk and stare.
If you don’t mind would you give me some stats (best lifts and some body measurements)?
My may squat has been 315 lbs at 10 reps....my calves are 17 inches
What do you enjoy about training for competition....what do you enjoy about the 'off .season'?
I love training for a show because the end result is so wonderful! During th off season I really enjoy just hanging out with my freinds and family and of course riding my CBR 1000rr motorcycle
Please describe a typical day in the life of Empress.
My typical day is getting up and heading to the gym....its like a job for me...then coming home to prepare my food for the day.....6 meals.....lots of protein
Please tell me about what you do when you don’t work out (hobbies, what do you do to relax?, etc.)
When im not working out im usually doing web design or working or riding my bike.....
What do you enjoy most about the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle?
I love the bodybuilding lifestyle because It helps me stay inshape and you get to meet alot of interesting people also.
Tell me something interesting about yourself, something people may be surprised to hear.
They would be surprised to know that I love to bake.....like betty crocker bake
What are your competition goals or personal future goals?
My competition goals is to one day make it onto the Olympia stage.....I would feel accomplished then....My other goal would be to be a successful internet entrepreneur!
